Position Overview

The Flint Cultural Center Academy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate One-on-One Student Support Specialist to provide individualized support for a student with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with early elementary‑aged students and a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one support to a student with special needs, ensuring their safety and well‑being.
• Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and daily activities.
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt teaching methods to meet the student’s needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of the student’s progress and communicate regularly with the educational team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 60 college credits.
• Experience working with early elementary‑aged students.
