Job summary

Vancouver Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator, Learning Support to provide one-on-one assistance to students under the supervision of a certificated teacher. The role is non-exempt, 6.5 hours per day for 9 months per year, with duties including supporting individualized goals and classroom activities.

Responsibilities include data entry, progress monitoring, collaboration with the education team, and using adaptive technologies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; official transcripts or ParaPro Assessment results may be requested.
• One year of related experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities; ability to think quickly and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to a student under the direction of a certificated staff member.
• Assist with implementing educational goals, activities, and accommodations.
• Utilize technology and data entry to track student progress and reports.
• Assist with classroom tasks, material preparation, and behavior management as needed.
