Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking a Home Care Aide for one-on-one in-home support in San Francisco. Full-time and part-time roles with reliable hours and an overnight shift.

You will provide personalized daily living assistance, support with bathing and mobility, and help maintain a healthy home environment. We offer competitive hourly pay with shift differentials, paid career-ladder training from HHA to CNA, supportive supervisors, PTO, mileage reimbursement, and recognition programs.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Home Health Aide (HHA) program.
• At least 1 year of paid home-health, hospice, or facility experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• CPR certification (or willingness to earn within 30 days).
• A genuine desire to foster trust and dignity for every client you serve.

Responsibilities

• Personalized Daily Living Assistance – Safely transfer clients, support bathing/grooming, and help with mobility devices.
• Healthy Home Environment – Change linens, do light laundry, and keep living areas clean and hazard-free.
• Medication & Wellness Checks – Provide timely reminders and record basic vitals or observations.
• Mind-Body Engagement – Read aloud, reminisce, or guide simple chair-exercises to keep clients active.
• Detailed Reporting – Document care notes and promptly share changes with your RN or Care Supervisor.
