Southeast Missouri Residential services, a State of Missouri facility in Poplar Bluff, seeks a Support Care Assistant to provide one-on-one care for our consumers. You will work with a team of nurses, assisting with daily living activities and health monitoring.

Qualifications include experience with developmentally disabled individuals, a strong work ethic, and willingness to participate in therapy sessions; requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, 18+ years old, and background screening.

Competenze

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must pass background screening.
• Knowledge of general care and treatment of clients, including basic nursing, first aid and emergency treatments.
• Ability to work with clients with physical or mental illness, developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, and/or the geriatric populations.

Mansioni

• Provide first-level direct care services (feeding, bathing, bed making, dressing, and related tasks).
• Assist in planned individual or group treatment activities (physical therapy, activity therapy, education, vocational rehab).
• Teach or assist in developing client skills related to self-help, play, education, and socialization.
• Checks vital signs and maintains records of fluid intake/output; reports condition changes.
