Job summary

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and maintains individual help and assistance to a child with special needs within an after-school program environment.
• Provides reinforcement to individual of direct material initially taught by the after-school educators.
• Maintains or modifies the child’s curriculum and enrichment activities to the needs of the child.
• Responsible for dealing with and following any behavior plans.
• Communicates daily with parents/guardians, school day teachers, special education department and other team members.
• Maintains a daily activity log on progress.
• Attends parent/educator conferences as required.
• Performs other duties as may be necessary and assigned by the classroom teacher and/or administrator.

Salary Range: $30.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The One to One aide is assigned exclusively to one child for a specified period of time. The aide is to work with the child who needs specific attention. A one-to-one aide can provide support to a child in many ways.

Hours

School year - 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 2:00pm - 6:00pm

Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordinates and maintains individual help and assistance to a child with special needs within an after-school program environment
• Provides reinforcement to individual of direct material initially taught by the after-school educators
• Maintains or modifies the child’s curriculum and enrichment activities to the needs of the child
• Responsible for dealing with and following any behavior plans
• Communicates daily with various groups of people outside the program including parents/ guardians, school day teachers, special education department and other team members working with the child
• Maintains a daily activity log on progress
• Attends parent/educator conferences as required
• Performs other duties as may be necessary and assigned by the classroom teacher and/or administrator

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing for long periods of time, as well as stooping, squatting, and running

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
