Job summary

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT in New Jersey seeks a Principal to lead instructional programs, compliance, and overall school operations. This full-time tenure-track role focuses on student outcomes, scheduling, and assessment coordination.

The candidate must have a Master’s degree and a New Jersey Principal Standard Certificate or CE, with preferred experience as a principal or vice principal and experience with multilingual learners and special education. Residency rules apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s Degree is required.
• New Jersey Principal Standard Certificate or a Certificate of Eligibility for Principal.
• Special Education Experience a plus.
• Working with multilingual students a plus.
• Knowledge of coordination and implementation of school programs.
• Planning and organization of school program goals and objectives, teacher and student schedules, and state/district tests and other assessment programs.
• Knowledge of research, current practice, national and state initiatives, student outcomes, and program evaluation.
• Attend/participate in grade level meetings.
• Knowledge of teacher/staff scheduling.
• Confer with District Administrators, Vice Principals, teachers, parents, students, and stakeholders.

Salary

$125,000.00-$137,000.00

Per Negotiated Contract

Effective September 1, 2011, all employees of school districts must reside in the State of New Jersey, unless exempted under law. If you already work for the school district as of September 1, 2011, and you do not live in New Jersey, you are not required to move to New Jersey. However, if you begin your office, position or employment on September 1, 2011 or later, you must reside in New Jersey. If you do not reside in New Jersey, you have one year after the date you take your office, position or employment to relocate your residence to New Jersey. If you do not do so, you are subject to removal from your office, position or employment
