Job summary

Hamilton Township School District Mercer County in New Jersey is seeking a Vice Principal for Kuser Elementary School (Grades K-5) to support instructional leadership and a positive school climate.

The ideal candidate holds a NJ Principal’s Certificate, has strong MTSS knowledge, and can collaborate with the building Principal and district administrators. The role involves engaging with families, guiding staff development, and contributing to district-wide initiatives.

Vice Principal Kuser Elementary School (Grades K-5)

Requirements:

• NJ Principal’s Certificate Required (Standard, Provisional, or CE)
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience preferred;
• Administrative experience preferred;
• Knowledge/experience with elementary school best practices (particularly in core academic areas and intervention);
• Knowledge/experience with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS);
• Knowledge/experience with elementary master scheduling preferred;
• Understanding of teacher observation/evaluation process (ie: Danielson);
• Ability to strengthen family and community engagement within a diverse elementary school community;
• Knowledge/experience with classroom and building school climate and restorative interventions;
• Ability to present building-based professional development;
• Knowledge of school law, assessment accountability/procedures, and NJ Student Learning Standards;
• Willingness to work collaboratively with building Principal and administrators across the district (in a large district setting).
• Bilingual Spanish preferred

Effective:

2026 – 2027 School Year

• Anticipated Start Date: 9/1/2026 (or pending clearance)

Salary Range:

(prorated from July 1, 2026 per start date)

• Per HTASA Salary Guide STEP 9A at 85% for Elementary School Vice-Principal
• $134,395 to 138,895 (with doctorate degree)

In addition to the base salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive benefits package:
including medical/vision, prescription and dental insurance, and paid time off. Will be entered into the appropriate NJ Pension Program.
