Job summary

Loyola Medicine in Illinois is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to lead the Oncology Urgent Care Clinic. You will assess, diagnose, and manage acute oncology and hematology conditions in collaboration with oncologists and the multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on same-day evaluation, treatment planning, and coordination across care settings to reduce ER visits and improve access to cancer care.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certifications required

Responsibilities

• Provide same-day evaluation and management of acute oncology symptoms and treatment-related side effects
• Collaborate with oncologists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
• Deliver symptom management and supportive care interventions
• Coordinate care across the multidisciplinary oncology team
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation or targeted therapies
