Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Oncology Unit Coordinator for the Cancer Center in Liberty, MO. This full-time role leads clinical staff, manages assignments, and drives throughput and productivity while partnering with the Nurse Manager and HR for performance management.

Required are a nursing degree with RN licensure and BLS certification; BSN is required upon hire for certain hires, with ADN-to-BSN options for others. Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing
• BSN required upon hire for nurses hired after Nov 1, 2025; ADN nurses must enroll in BSN within 6 months and complete BSN within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides charge nurse responsibilities, including assignments, throughput management, and staffing to matrix.
• Assists with hiring, education and performance evaluation of staff.
• Ensures compliance with standards through ongoing monitoring and performance management.
• Mentors staff and drives unit performance improvement and productivity targets.
