Job summary

US Oncology Inc. is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse in Suffolk, VA. The role requires coordination of care across the interdisciplinary team, administration of therapies, and ongoing patient education.

Qualified candidates will have an RN license, BLS, and ideally a BSN with oncology experience. The position supports transplant/infusion special procedures as part of specialized care teams and maintains high standards of safety and patient advocacy.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
• RN license in practicing state and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Five years nursing experience, oncology preferred.
• Oncology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate and promote the continuity of care.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient and reviewing history.
• Administer therapies under physician supervision and manage medications/portals.
• Assist in patient education, discharge planning and family support.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
