Job summary

Minnesota Oncology in Minnesota is seeking Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join a caring oncology team. The roles involve direct patient care across clinic and telemedicine settings, with responsibilities in prevention, treatment, education, and care coordination.

Candidates should hold an MSN with NP or PA credentials, a current MN license, CPR certification, and at least three years of experience.

Qualifications

• Practicing NP with MSN from an accredited program.
• Current Minnesota RN license and NP certification.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a practicing NP.
• Physician Assistant qualification with minimum three years of experience; MN licensure and CPR.
• Current MN state licensure and CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
• Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
• Performs procedures after appropriate training.
• Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
• Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Incorporates evolving evidence-based knowledge into clinical practice.
• Developing knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
• Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
• May provide case management for patients and their families.
• May promote/provide staff education.
• Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after-hour calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program

Current Minnesota RN license

Current Nurse Practitioner certification

Physician Assistant certification/licensure

Current MN state licensure

CPR certification
