Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Massachusetts) seeks a senior biostatistician to provide statistical leadership for oncology studies, partnering with project teams to align strategy and execution. You will lead statistical strategy for study design, analysis, reporting, and interpretation, using fit-for-purpose methods to inform decisions.

You will author SAPs and protocols, communicate complex results to non-statistical stakeholders, ensure on-time deliverables, manage stakeholders in a matrix

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics or related quantitative field with at least 5 years post-degree experience, or MS/MSc with 8+ years in clinical development.
• Experience supporting clinical development in pharma/biotech/CRO settings.
• Experience delivering fit-for-purpose statistical solutions for study design/readouts.
• Experience with R and/or Python.
• SAS knowledge preferred.
• Hands-on expertise in Bayesian methods preferred.
• Knowledge of drug development process including late-phase/regulatory expectations is preferred.
• Familiarity with causal inference or AI/ML in clinical/real-world data is preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to influence across functions in a matrix environment are preferred.
• Highly organized, self-directed, able to manage multiple priorities across projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical leadership for oncology studies and strategy across design, analysis, and reporting.
• Author SAPs, protocols, and regulatory documents; present results to stakeholders.
• Lead study design, analyses, and interpretation with fit-for-purpose methods.
• Ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables and effective stakeholder management in a matrix environment.
• Drive innovation in statistical methodology and data strategy, including external/real-world data use.
• Represent Oncology Biostatistics externally and may serve as project statistician for oncology assets.
