Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine in Hyde Park is seeking a Special Procedures Nurse for the Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic. This 100% onsite role requires you to be based in the greater Chicagoland area and to work under an attending physician, performing high-risk nursing care, including sedation and IV infusions, with possible charge nurse responsibilities.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain safety and HIPAA compliance, ensure proper documentation, and support

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the State of Illinois
• Current CPR, ACLS, and/or PALS Certifications

Responsibilities

• Represents UChicago Medicine in a positive manner to patients, families and staff.
• Provides technically complex and high-risk nursing care, including sedation and IV infusions.
• Possibly serves as Charge Nurse for the assigned unit.
• Maintains equipment, documents patient encounters, and ensures safety and quality.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support patient and family needs.
• Adheres to HIPAA and hospital policies; supports continuous improvement.
