Job summary

UCLA Health in Santa Monica, CA, seeks a Clinical Social Worker to support cancer patients and families across the Simms Mann Center for Integrative Oncology. You will provide direct psychosocial care, resource navigation, and case management within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California.
• Knowledge of psychosocial and other rehabilitation related problems that arise in individuals with cancer.
• Knowledge of common cancers and treatments.
• Knowledge of psychosocial distress screening instruments and assessments.
• Ability to deliver psychosocial interventions in a medical setting.
• Ability to travel to multiple UCLA Health locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct social work services including psychosocial assessment, case management, supportive counseling, and on-call service.
• Conduct therapeutic support groups and participate in community education.
• Assist patients and families in understanding and navigating the healthcare system.
• Facilitate referrals and resources to social, psychological, economic, home health, and hospice services.
• Contribute to Simms/Mann Center program development, outreach, and evaluation; staff lecture series.
• Support and guide interns and volunteers in clinical practice.
