Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Social Work Counselor to support patients, families, and caregivers. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to reduce psychosocial barriers and align care with treatment goals.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of social work experience (oncology preferred) and is proficient in biopsychosocial assessment, counseling, and resource navigation. Onsite Texas Medical Center location with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• 1+ year of social work experience preferred, oncology a plus.
• Licensure: LMSW or LCSW required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments with appropriate criteria.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling across disease trajectory.
• Support end-of-life, survivorship, and bereavement needs.
• Participate in continuity of care and discharge planning.
• Document all patient care activities in the EHR and ensure compliance.
