Job summary

Washington Hospital Healthcare System is seeking an Unlicensed Clinical Social Worker to provide social service support to Oncology patients and families in the outpatient setting. You will collaborate with the care team to connect patients with community resources and coordinate interdisciplinary care.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Social Work; 5 years oncology experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office; EPIC/BEACON familiarity is a plus; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• Oncology experience required – inpatient preferred outpatient – minimum 5 years.
• OSW-C preferred.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of reporting abuse, Title 22, and Patient Rights regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Provide social service support to Oncology patients and families in the outpatient setting.
• Collaborate with the staff to meet patient needs through direct interventions and by assisting with community resources.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care to oncology patients and act as a psychosocial support resource and care coordinator.
• May be assigned to other duties as required.
