Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Oncology ambulatory social work team is seeking a licensed social worker to provide clinical consultations, psychosocial evaluations, and interventions in a fast-paced oncology setting, on a 24-hour-per-week day shift (Monday–Friday). The role requires a Master's degree in social work, LICSW, and at least one year of health/mental health experience.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to address social determinants, coordinate resources, and support patients

Qualifications

Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
Minimum of one year of health/mental health experience.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides clinical consultations, psychosocial evaluations, and clinical interventions in the Oncology ambulatory setting.
Consults/assists with complex medical diagnoses, social issues, financial concerns, and discharge planning.
Educates other disciplines regarding barriers from social determinants of health.
Performs psychosocial assessments of patients and families; provides individual, family, and group counseling.
Coordinates referrals to hospital and community resources; advocates for patients and families within the health care system.
Participates in oncology support programs and multidisciplinary case conferences.
