Job summary

Zangmeister Cancer Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a Part-time PRN Registered Nurse to provide safe, compassionate oncology care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, lab review, and medication administration per JBIs, with triage and education to patients and families.

Travel to other clinic locations may be required, and overtime may be necessary. The role requires an active RN license, CPR/BLS, and hematology/oncology experience.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Valid Driver’s License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate and efficient patient care including assessment, labs review, vital signs, medication safety and administration.
• Triage calls and communicate patient condition to multidisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications and treatment plans.
• Maintain thorough EMR documentation of treatments and ensure proper charge capture.
• Assist in training new employees and participate in mandatory trainings.
• May work at multiple company locations and overtime as needed.
