Job summary

Zangmeister Cancer Center in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse in Oncology Infusion to provide safe, evidence-based care for oncology patients. You will assess patients, monitor labs and vital signs, verify medications, and administer infusion therapies under JBIs, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes chemotherapy management, patient education, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• RN license (unencumbered) in state of employment or multi-state license
• Current CPR and BLS certifications
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills
• Ability to assess patient needs and respond calmly in emergencies

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care, and non-oncologic agents per provider orders
• Educate patients and caregivers about medications, side effects and planned treatments
• Triage telephone calls and messages from patients, families, and facilities
• Document treatment and charges in the EMR and ensure accurate record keeping
• Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies and training of new staff
