Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in practicing state required.
• ONS Fundamentals Provider Card within 60 days of hire.
• ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Card within 60 days (and upon expiration of Fundamentals Card) or within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients, and documenting conditions.
• Teaches healthcare requirements to patient and family, answering questions and providing resources.
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to standards and re-evaluating care objectives.
• Maintains safe care environment by following infection-control and medication procedures.
