Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinates patient care activities for the clinic.
• Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
• Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients.
• Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination. Screens patients for health history, vitals, and nursing assessment; documents information in the chart.
• Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with input from the physician.
• Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and health maintenance.
• Maintains exam rooms with supplies and cleanliness; prepares list of medical supplies needed.
