Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Fort Worth is seeking an Oncology RN for the Primary Care Clinic. The role supports oncology patients and families, addressing barriers to access, and uses nursing process to assess needs and facilitate referrals.

Under general supervision, you will educate patients, document care, and collaborate with the health care team across the oncology continuum. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program and Texas nursing license.
• 1 year nursing experience; BLS certification required.
• BSN degree preferred for this oncology clinic role.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient health status across ages using age-specific considerations.
• Develop care plans and coordinate oncology nursing interventions with the team.
• Educate patients and families, providing timely documentation of education provided.
• Collaborate with the health care team to ensure continuity of care and referrals.
• Supervise and coordinate care assignments; ensure adherence to policies.
• Prepare for procedures by gathering supplies and maintaining safe care.
• Contribute as a resource and preceptor to nursing staff; participate in performance feedback.
