Job summary

Texas Health Resources Fort Worth is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Med Surg Oncology Department on a 7P-7A, 36-hour week with rotating weekends/holidays. The unit is fast-paced, high-volume, and mixed acuity, offering opportunities to advance skills in cancer care and patient management.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree or nursing diploma, maintains an RN license, BLS, CPI training, and has oncology experience; BSN is preferred. ONS certification and OCN are valued assets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• One-year clinical nurse experience or completion of RN residency.
• Current RN licensure in Texas or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification and CPI training.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate within 6 months of hire.
• OCN certification preferred within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses patients and plans care.
• Intervenes and evaluates outcomes of interventions.
• Maintains age-specific safety and infection control.
• Facilitates information for patients and family.
• Ensures continuity of care across shifts and transfers.
