Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for the night shift to deliver compassionate nursing care and coordinate cancer treatments with the care team.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians and infusion services to ensure optimal outcomes. An RN license and Associate degree are required; BSN preferred for growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license and Associate degree in nursing.
• BSN preferred for this oncology role.
• Oncology experience and chemotherapy knowledge required or preferred.
• Ability to educate patients and families about treatments and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care per standards.
• Assess patients, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
• Coordinate chemotherapy and other oncology treatments with physicians and infusion services.
• Document thoroughly and maintain compliance with regulations.
• Assist with authorizations and patient education resources.
