Job summary

St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the MS1D Oncology unit on a night shift. The role requires a BSN and PA RN license, with AHA BLS; chemo certification is preferred.

The unit is a Med/Surg oncology floor with private rooms and a focus on quality, compassionate care. The RN will assess and educate patients, document care plans and assessments, coordinate care across disciplines, and ensure infection control and safety standards are upheld throughout

Qualifications

• BSN required from an accredited school of nursing.
• PA RN License is required to practice in Pennsylvania.
• AHA BLS certification is required.
• Chemo certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess learning needs and tailor education to each patient.
• Document admission assessments, plan, interventions and med use per policy.
• Use the EMR to communicate patient changes to the care team and update care plans.
• Communicate patient transfers during bedside handoffs and rounds.
• Identify patient needs and address abuse recognition and referrals as needed.
• Include pain management and supportive care in the care plan.
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, clean environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
