Job summary

International Executive Service Corps is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate total nursing care, participate in patient and family teaching, and provide leadership in a clinical setting.

Under supervision of Nursing Director/Clinical Manager, you will ensure age-appropriate care, collaborate with physicians, and lead nursing staff while adhering to hospital policies and service excellence standards.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care for patients on the unit/department.
• Knowledge of growth and development over the life span and ability to assess patient data.
• Ability to interpret information to identify and meet age-specific patient needs per policies.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to each patient’s physical and emotional needs.
• Establishes and maintains communication, using teachable moments to address learning needs of patients and family.
• Delivers age-appropriate care for patients on the unit.
• Collaborates with Physicians regarding patient condition, orders, and treatment plans.
• Demonstrates leadership in supervising LPNs, nurses’ aides, and secretaries to ensure quality patient care and teamwork.
• Complies with organizational policies to ensure quality performance and hospital compliance.
• Maintains all department competencies for patient care.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence by supporting the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
