Job summary

Hartford Hospital, a major teaching hospital and Level I trauma center in Connecticut, seeks an experienced registered nurse for the CB2 medical oncology unit. You will apply evidence-based nursing processes to plan and deliver care for oncology patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Under the Nurse Manager, you will develop a care plan that addresses physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families, while upholding the State Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• ASN Required (must obtain BSN within 6 years).
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to oncology patients in the CB2 unit under supervision.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a care plan.
• Apply evidence-based nursing processes to meet physical, emotional, spiritual and educational needs.
