Job summary

Hartford Hospital's CB2 unit cares for medical oncology patients, including hematologic cancers and hospice needs. The role supports a patient-centered care model and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

The registered nurse will apply evidence-based practices, develop individualized care plans, and meet physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current Connecticut RN License.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role).
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN utilizes evidence-based practices to develop a plan of care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs.
• Works in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary teams in a patient-centered care model.
• Serves oncology patients, including solid tumors and hematologic cancers, and supports related services.
