Job summary

Southcoast Health in Fairhaven, MA is seeking an RN-Medical Oncology for a 32-hour per week day shift. You will deliver oncology care, education, and psychosocial support to patients and families in a collaborative, community-focused setting.

Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Care, you will participate in committees/tumor boards and maintain oncology credentials. MA RN licensure, BSN or equivalent, CPR, and ONS/IV skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Massachusetts RN licensure is required.
• Minimum of three years Medical-Surgical with oncology interest preferred.
• CPR certification required; oncology credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Support assigned committees, tumor boards, or other services as directed.
• Deliver nursing care under the Manager, Patient Care.

We are searching for a talented RN-Medical Oncology

Hours: 32hrs

Shift:Day shift; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Fairhaven - Cancer Center, MA

Under the direction of the Manager, Patient Care, perform a wide variety of nursing duties involving providing comprehensive oncology education, treatment, and psychosocial support to the oncology patient and their families. Actively support assigned committees, tumor boards, or other services the manager may assign.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• A minimum of three years (3) Medical Surgical experience with special interest in Oncology is preferred.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification and/or IV management skills required.
• Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred or become certified
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
• Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
