Qualifications

• Associates Of Science Nursing and at least one year of RN experience upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to deliver care in a cost-effective, quality-driven, patient-focused manner and collects social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from patients and others.
• Performs ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnoses and goals, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes.
• Documents in patient and unit records per health system standards to meet legal and quality requirements.
• Provides teaching to patients and families on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions.
• Demonstrates commitment to patient, hospital, community, and nursing goals through cost containment, confidentiality, ethics, and patient safety.
• Uses research-based interventions when appropriate and collaborates with Outcomes managers and department on research opportunities.
