Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking an Oncology Nurse at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, NM. You will provide direct patient care to oncology patients, administer chemotherapy and other treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to tailor care plans.

Requirements include NM or Compact nursing license, Associate Degree in Nursing, and BLS certification. One year bedside experience preferred.

Qualifications

• State NM or Compact State Nursing License
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
• 1 year bedside experience preferred
• BLS certification required at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology treatments
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, manage symptoms and side effects
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and self-care
• Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans
• Provide emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
