Responsibilities

• Mixes chemotherapy drugs as prescribed by physician after passing competency test.
• Provides chemotherapy administration in accordance with Oncology Nursing Society standards.
• Verifies dosage and secures insurance approval prior to administration.
• Educates patient and family on chemotherapy, side effects, and community resources.
• Provides telephone triage for patients and families in a courteous, professional manner.
