Job summary

American Oncology Management Company is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide safe and efficient patient care at our Mid America Cancer Care Centers, spanning the Kansas City area.

You will assess patients, review labs, administer chemotherapy and supportive therapies, educate patients and families, and document in the EMR. Travel to Kansas City, KS and MO locations is required, with standard weekday hours and occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of employment or multi-state license.
• Current CPR and BLS certifications.
• Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Fluency in English with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biotherapy, supportive care and non-oncologic agents.
• Follow Oncology Nurse Society standards and guidelines.
• Perform patient education and ongoing assessment; document in EMR.
• Triage calls and messages from patients, families, and facilities.
• Assist with inventory, supplies, and training new staff.
