Job summary

MedCadre is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver specialized, compassionate care to cancer patients. The role involves assessing patients around treatments, administering therapies, monitoring for side effects, and educating families on care plans.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy and biotherapy certification preferred or required as applicable.
• Previous oncology, infusion, or chemotherapy nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor oncology patients before, during, and after treatments.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, and other treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients for treatment-related side effects, adverse reactions, and changes in condition.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, symptom management, and supportive care.
• Provide pain management and coordinate care with oncologists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow medication safety and infection prevention standards.
