Job summary

Summa Health System – Akron Campus is seeking an RN for the 7E Oncology Medical Unit. The role supports adult oncology patients including chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration, symptom management and complex care planning.

Unit is 15 beds with a 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, full-time, 36 hours per week, 7a-7:30p, every other weekend/holiday. Highlights include a $5/hr night shift differential and $1/hr weekend differential, plus a 12-month nurse residency program for new grads.

Qualifications

• Requires full nursing licensure in the State of Ohio.
• BSN preferred; associates degree acceptable with obligation to obtain BSN within 3 years.
• CCNE or ACEN accreditation of nursing program.
• Active Ohio RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate and/or delegate nursing care to patients, families and community.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to attain, maintain and restore health.
• Manage resources and collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.
