Job summary

Froedtert ThedaCare seeks an academically driven physician leader to serve as Research Medical Director for the ThedaCare Cancer Center and the Froedtert ThedaCare enterprise North Region. This executive role blends strategic vision with clinical research oversight and academic alignment with MCW.

The role builds a high-impact clinical trial portfolio, integrates research into everyday cancer care, and strengthens regulatory and operational performance across ThedaCare, Froedtert, and MCW, while

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Hematology, Oncology, and/or Radiation Oncology.
• Current or eligible Wisconsin medical licensure.
• Administrative or leadership experience with program development and physician mentorship.
• Strong knowledge of clinical research processes with involvement in cooperative trials.
• Prior PI or Site PI experience with trials and regulatory oversight.
• Ability to prioritize research portfolio and uphold regulatory standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Documented clinical and/or academic contributions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional cancer program with a focus on integrating research with clinical care.
• Define and advance a unified research portfolio across ThedaCare, Froedtert, and MCW.
• Mentor investigators and build cross-institutional collaboration.
• Represent the North Region in enterprise and national research forums.
