Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to evaluate, plan, and implement nursing care for oncology patients in Minneapolis, MN. In hospital settings, you will assist with surgery prep, patient education, and coordinate treatments.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state practicing required.
• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Assist with surgery prep, patient education, and treatment coordination.
• Monitor patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain during treatments.

Job description

The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population. The Oncology Registered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments. In hospital settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of their cancer treatments. In outpatient care center settings, the Oncology Registered Nurse typically helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring patients’ vitals, side effects, and pain.

• Current RN license in state practicing
• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
