Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; maintain CE requirements.
• 3–5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care with established standards.
• Assess health status by interviewing patient and gathering history.
• Collect and record nursing assessments and interventions.
• Review health data, labs, radiographs, and psychosocial assessments with provider.
• Provide patient/family teaching and psychosocial support.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and documentation of care.
• Administer therapies and medications under physician supervision.
• Ensure pre-authorization and consent forms when applicable.
• Facilitate dose modifications with labs and protocol guidance.
• Perform venipuncture, ports access, and central line care.
• Maintain supply areas and work environment; assist with communications and coordination.
