Responsibilities

• Facilitates and maintains a safe environment for patients and others.
• Utilizes the nursing process to develop and deliver a plan of care for assigned patients.
• Performs priority technical procedures required by the area, department, and/or assignment safely and effectively.
• Coordinates and delegates activities related to patient care management and supervises other unit personnel.
• Communicates with appropriate channels and provides hand-off and escalation of information.
• Keeps patients informed with periodic updates and contributes to patient throughput.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to improve patient care and seeks supervision when needed.
• Promotes infection control practices and participates in quality improvement activities.
