Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Concord, NC is hiring a registered nurse for the Med Onc department. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate treatment plans, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement activities in a 40-hour workweek.

Requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing, RN license in state, BLS within 6 months, and at least 2 years of acute care oncology experience. Strong organization and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state where the team member practices.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Oncology experience in acute care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing patient care according to age and developmental needs.
• Assess and plan care, educate patients and families.
• Coordinate care plans with physicians and other team members.
• Maintain accurate clinical and patient records per guidelines.
• Participate in community education programs and quality improvement.
• Support staff orientation and educational activities.
