Job summary

Carolinas Medical Center in Gastonia, NC is seeking an experienced registered nurse for our ambulatory oncology clinic. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm. Oncology experience is preferred but not required; BLS is required and a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• BSN preferred.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care, engaging patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence care outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and according to clinical protocols and procedures.
