Job summary

MaineHealth seeks a Director of Quality for the Oncology Service Line to provide strategic leadership, oversight, and operational direction for quality, patient safety, accreditation, and performance improvement across the oncology programs.

The role partners with executive leadership, physicians, nursing leaders, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to advance evidence-based, patient-centered cancer care and improve clinical outcomes within a comprehensive oncology quality program.

Qualifications

Education: Degree in nursing, business or healthcare management; Master’s degree preferred.
Three to five years of management experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
Experience in quality performance improvement in a hospital setting; Cancer Registry or Oncology experience preferred.
Knowledge of biology and medical practices as applied to cancer; knowledge of statistics and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for quality, patient safety, accreditation, clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement across the Oncology Service Line.
Collaborate with executive leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leaders, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.
Develop and sustain a comprehensive oncology quality strategy aligned with accreditation standards and best practices; drive continuous improvement in outcomes and value-based care.
Monitor and report quality indicators and outcomes; coordinate with Oncology Management Team and MMC Quality Council.
