Job summary

OneOncology, LLC is seeking a Medical Coding and Billing Specialist to write and maintain coding and billing rules in the practice management system. The role includes reviewing and importing daily charges, and filing claims for proton therapy, radiation therapy, and radiology services under supervision.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of charge entry/billing experience, knowledge of CPT/HCPCS/ICD-9, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; two years' charge entry/billing experience desired.
• 1+ year of Prior Authorization experience.
• Extensive CPT/HCPCS/ICD-9 coding knowledge and insurance billing guidelines.
• Proficiency with Excel and medical insurance billing experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Enter charges accurately for proton therapy, radiation therapy, and radiology.
• Generate and submit claims to insurance payers in a timely manner.
• Monitor claims and resolve denials or rejections with appropriate teams.
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations and policies.
