Job summary

Highlands Oncology Group in Rogers, AR is seeking a Precertification Analyst to obtain prior authorizations for imaging, therapies, and outpatient services. You will fill forms, submit records, and coordinate with patients, insurers, and clinical staff to secure timely authorizations.

You will work with imaging, anesthesia, and oncology teams, maintain accurate authorization data in OncoEMR and g4, and help ensure coverage meets plan requirements while upholding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and concise written skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in medical records.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT codes.

Responsibilities

• Review imaging schedules and determine authorizations required for imaging.
• Answer and resolve incoming calls regarding STAT requests.
• Obtain timely authorizations for urgent/add-on requests.
• Maintain accurate authorization data in OncoEMR and g4.
• Coordinate with imaging staff to ensure timely reviews and approvals.
• Communicate restrictions or requirements to nursing/medical staff per insurance plans.
• Coordinate with insurance verification to ensure current coverage.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians and staff.
• Set up peer‑to‑peer reviews as requested.
• Assist Outside Treatments/Genetic Testing/In-patient Authorizations as designated.
