Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Staff Nurse for the oncology patient subpopulation at Westerly Hospital. Qualifications

• BSN preferred or currently matriculating; must complete ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy course by start; maintain ONS provider card.
• Minimum three years medical-surgical/oncology experience; infusion experience required; outpatient ambulatory experience preferred.
• Active RI RN license; OCN, AOCN, or CPON certification required or within one year; BLS required; ACLS optional; PALS within one year.
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute-care nursing; communicate effectively; document information accurately; basic computer knowledge; professional interaction in busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care; documents data and shares significant assessment data.
• Adheres to Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• Acts as a clinical resource and role model.
• Participates in train and educational activities for other staff members.
