Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research in Los Angeles is seeking a Pharmacokinetic (PK) Lab Technician to support our oncology research team. You will handle biospecimens, maintain equipment, and ensure adherence to GLP/SOP guidelines in a fast-paced lab environment.

Applicants should have a solid science background, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with nurses and researchers. This role offers regular daytime hours at our Los Angeles facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and familiarity with medical terminology.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws for sample processing, handling and shipping.
• Receive, process, store, and ship biospecimens per study specifications.
• Prepare research sample collection supplies per study specifications.
• Adhere to SOPs and GLPs.
• Record data in electronic systems per SOPs and GLP.
• Maintain and operate equipment; assist with inventory control and re-supply.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies related to drug and specimen storage.
