The Cancer & Hematology Centers in Lansing, MI is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our patient‑focused laboratory team. You will perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and specimen handling with accuracy, empathy, and strict adherence to policies.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant degree is preferred. At least two years of related experience and knowledge of medical terminology are highly valued in our fast-paced cancer care setting.

Qualifikationen

• Two years related work experience.
• Medical terminology extremely helpful.

Aufgaben

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks per written policies and procedures.
• Identify patients accurately and label/handle specimens properly.
• Determine and collect the proper tubes for requested tests.
• Monitor phlebotomy supplies and notify when restocking is needed.
• Enter new patients into the LIS and order tests; designate send-out tests; print and fax reports.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following safety policies; report hazards; keep area clean and stocked.
• Assist lab staff with tasks such as answering phones, balancing billing, ordering send-out tests, coordinating patient care, and distributing blood products.
• All other duties as assigned.
