Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree desirable.
• 6 months pharmacy technician experience or healthcare experience required, hospital experience preferred.
• Current registration/licensure or eligibility as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of employment; PTCB certification required on or within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Distribute, prepare, package, label, and deliver medications to patient care units and storage areas.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and replenish stock per par levels.
• Assist pharmacist with medication preparation and safety/compliance tasks.
• Operate and troubleshoot hospital technology such as EMR, ADS, and barcode systems.
• Communicate with nursing, providers, and staff; maintain HIPAA-compliant records and handling of controlled substances.
• Align daily work with department goals and YNHHS strategic priorities.
