Job summary

The Cancer & Hematology Centers is seeking a Michigan-licensed Pharmacy Technician to dispense medications, process orders, and support both infusion and retail pharmacy operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and collaboration with the pharmacist to ensure safe patient care.

You will handle data entry, inventory, claims, and pharmacist-supervised compounding, contributing to high-quality cancer care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a Michigan-licensed pharmacy technician.
• Retail or infusion pharmacy experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of prescription processing and pharmacist supervision is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription drugs to patients and assist with preparation and charging under pharmacist supervision.
• Process, enter and interpret physician orders for infusion or retail pharmacy.
• Provide quality patient care and excellent customer service.
• Perform inventory control and handle invoicing and packing slips accurately.
• Handle telephone inquiries and assist in resolving issues and complaints promptly.
• Ensure claims are filed in QS-1 NRx environment and record customer purchases in the POS system.
• Accept telephone prescriptions and refills and complete related paperwork.
• Prepare Compounded Sterile Products (CSP) with aseptic technique under supervision.
