Job summary

The START Center for Cancer Research in Miami is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to ensure safe, efficient preparation of chemotherapy, biologic therapies, and supportive meds for patient administration. You will collaborate with site leaders and pharmacists to maintain cost-effective drug inventories and support regulatory compliance.

We offer a Monday–Friday schedule with 8:00am–5:00pm hours, a focus on GMP/GCP-compliant practices, and a team-driven environment dedicated to advancing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience preparing chemotherapy and biologic therapies.
• Current State registration as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Mix and label chemotherapy, biologic therapy and supportive care medications.
• Perform inventory management documentation and drug accountability reports.
• Prepare parenteral dosage forms using aseptic technique per USP, state and federal regulations, and GCP guidelines for investigational medications.
• Ensure proper storage and delivery of medications according to stability requirements.
• Conduct weekly inventory and QA checks on extemporaneously prepared meds, IV solutions, and related equipment.
• Receive medications and supplies per inventory controls; maintain stocking levels and flag shortages.
• Interact with study monitors to provide drug accountability reports and temperature logs; support monitor verification and training.
• Generate reports using applicable computer systems.
